An online academy called the Affiliate Academy is doing a SEO competition for it’s students.
There are two groups of students. There are the beginners and the advanced class.
The purpose of the contest is to give the academy’s students a chance to use their new learned methods in a real life application. Each division has a different term they are trying to rank for.
The advanced group will be competing for the phrase Dirty Blue Widgets and the beginners will be running for Clean Red Widgets.
The phrases don’t mean a thing to anyone. This is so all can compete within the academy instead of against the whole world. That way they all have an equal chance to win.
The competition starts Nov. 10, 2008 and runs through Feb. 10, 2009. Whoever is in the highest spot in Google at the end is the winner. There are a few rules to follow.
There are no black hat techniques allowed. No one may purchase links to there site. The domain name competing in the contest must not contain any of the words from the target term. And no automated tools are allowed except ones that submit to bookmarking and article directories.
There are cash prizes for the winners. $1000 to the winner of the beginners and $1500 to the advanced group winner.
