In this digital age, we prefer to take notes digitally rather than the traditional approach. There are numerous note-taking software available today, each with its own set of features and functions. However, if you use Apple products, you already have Apple Notes, which is a built-in note-taking tool. 

Apple Notes is one of my favorite apps, and I’ve been using it for almost 5 years. In this article, I’ll go through a portion of my favorite feature in Apple Notes, and I hope you’ll find it useful. Thus, without getting any further due, we should begin.

Top 10 Features in Apple Notes.

1. Organize Your Work Across Apple Devices.

All Apple devices, including Macintosh, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, can use the Apple Notes software. As a result, the Apple Notes application will be installed on your Apple device regardless of when you buy it. Apple Notes is a built-in program on Apple devices, so you don’t have to install anything extra. 

It’s also compatible with other Apple devices once you’ve set up your iCloud account. When you buy and set up a new Apple device, you may instantly start taking notes on the Apple Notes program, and all of your notes will be accessible across all of your devices.

For example, you can create a note on your iPhone, then change or edit it on your iPad before deleting or erasing it on your MacBook. It’s that easy to interact with, and all of your actions will be tailored to your various devices.

2 .Create Notes using Siri.

You may use Siri on your Apple device to take notes. You can start by asking Siri to “Make a note” or “Take a note.” Then it will ask you what you need to remember for your memo. After that, you can fill in the blanks and edit your note as needed. You can also use Siri to update your existing notes.

Assume you need to add some text to your current note, and then you can ask Siri to write that text to a note on your behalf. Siri will then provide a list of available notes and ask you to select the signed note from the list. Siri will add/add it to that note when you receive the proper note.

3. Lock Notes.

You may lock notes in Apple Notes with either a Secret key, Touch ID, or Face ID. You’ll be asked to set up a Secret key for your note at first, and assuming your iPhone has Touch ID or Face ID, you’ll want to use Touch ID or Face ID to open your notes. This is a fantastic feature that prevents unauthorized access to your data. 

Although this is a more secure method of protecting your data, it is not recommended to save sensitive information such as passwords or Visa numbers in this manner. 

You may enable a lock on Apple Notes for any note when you set it up. To give it more power, To lock your note, first go inside it and click the three dots in the upper right corner, then select Lock. The latch symbol will appear on your note at that point, and by clicking it, you will be able to lock or open your note at any time.

4.Add Notes into Folders.

You can create Folders in the Apple Notes application and organize your notes accordingly. Assume you’ve written out your daily schedule. After that, you can create a new folder in Apple Notes and call it School. Making a folder in Apple Notes is an easy process. 

On your MacBook, the “Another Folder” sign can be found in the bottom left corner, and by clicking it, you can easily create a folder. Then you may organize your work by placing all of your School-related notes in that folder.

5 .Share Notes with your Friends.

You can collaborate with your loved ones using Apple Notes. You can add a note and share it with your friends or family to work together. Simply click the three dots in the upper right corner of your note and pick “Offer note” from the drop-down menu.

You can make modifications to Offer Choices and send it through the Messages or Mail program, or you can most likely use internet media to transmit that greeting. When the recipient acknowledges the greeting, the individual in question can make modifications to your note and collaborate with you.

You can modify the entry mode after sending the greeting, and you can also remove the entrance and stop sharing at any time. Similarly, you can distribute an entire folder among your team and operate more efficiently.

You can send a duplicate of your note to a friend, family, or keep it in a cloud worker for later use directly through Apple Notes, in addition to sharing notes. To send a duplicate of your note, pick Send a duplicate from the three specks in the upper right corner.

After that, you can email it, send it to a friend using a web-based media application, or save it to a cloud server.

6. Add photos using your iPhone/ iPad.

This is one of my favorite aspects of the entire Apple ecosystem. When working with a Macintosh or MacBook, this feature is quite useful and beneficial. Assume you’re using your MacBook to make a note for your school and you need to include one of your paintings or drawings that you drew for the class. 

As a result of this feature, you can easily add your sketch or put it into your note using your iPhone or iPad.

To transfer the sketch, simply click the open Photograph application symbol in the upper right corner and select either your iPhone or iPad. Then, using the camera on your iPhone or iPad, you’ll have the option of directly inserting your image into your note. This is a really fantastic feature that saves a lot of time. e.

7. Pinned Notes.

In Apple Notes, you may pin your most important notes to the top of your to-do list. When you have a lot of notes and folders in your Apple Notes app, this feature is really useful. When you have a lot of notes, it’s a little more difficult to find a certain note and make adjustments to it.

After that, you may pin your top picks or important notes to your Apple Notes for easy access. You can also unpin presently pinned notes whenever necessary, and you can relocate your note to a different organizer while it’s still a pin.

8. Gallery view.

For your notes, the Apple Notes program provides both a list and a gallery view. Of course, the list view will be picked, and you can flip it whenever necessary on your MacBook, iPhone, iPad, or other devices. 

Even if you set it to the gallery view, all of your secret word secured (Locked) notes will remain hidden. Instead of words or images, these notes will have a major lock.

9. All Attachments in a Single Window.

You can include photographs, sketches, drawings, and check documents in your notes to make them more useful to viewers and readers. Pictures offer additional shading to your notes, especially when they are for your daily schedule. 

However, if you need to go back and look at those pictures and sketches later, or if you need to refer to a certain note, it won’t be a straightforward task and will take up more time. In any event, in Apple Notes, you may eliminate this problem by viewing all of your notes in a single window.

Simply click the three dots in the upper right corner and select the View Connections option to see them. Then, in a single window, it will reveal all of the available connections and sort them, for example, images and recordings, checks, and so on.

 To see all connections in a single window on your MacBook, simply hit the question mark in the upper right corner, move the pointer into the text box, and select it.

Then it will present you with a few options from which you may select Notes with Connections Then, at that moment, all of the notes that have connections will appear, or you can put connections in the text box and it will perform the same function.

10. Find in Note.

This is another useful tool in Apple Notes that helps you find text in your notes. This tool works inside notes on your iPhone, but you can use it to search all notes on your MacBook. 

If you have a lot of list items, this tool will show them all to you so you can keep track of them [this may work differently in different devices, but I’m just explaining how this tool works in this post]. After you’ve found the query output, you can change, replicate, delete, or reuse it for other reasons.
