Where can you go on a desert safari Dubai?

Dubai is home to several unique parks, but it’s a desert safari that’s really going to excite you. There are two ways to experience desert safari dubai; one way is to take part in an organized tour, and one way is to go on your own. Let’s have a look at both of these desert safari experiences and what they have to offer.

Getting there and around

Many visitors to the UAE start their desert safari from Dubai. If you are taking an international flight and will have to rent a car, getting around won’t be difficult.

However, if you do not wish to leave your car with Airport Parking, it may be cheaper to find someone who has extra room in their vehicle and split the taxi fare with them or negotiate for half of the overall cost of renting a car.

Things to know before booking your desert safari Dubai trip

When it comes to booking your desert safari dubai tour, you need to know there are certain rules and laws involved in driving through certain deserts and national parks. Even though most of these restrictions won’t be enforced at night when you’re on your way back from your desert safari trip, it’s still important that you keep yourself informed about them.

The first thing to look into is whether or not you’ll be allowed to drive through a specific park during daytime or nighttime hours. While most parks will allow day trips during daylight hours (such as in Dubai), others may only permit overnight stays at specific times of the year or even restrict travel on weekends.

The real experience on the tour

Our expert tour guides took us on one of our desert safari dubai trips to get a sneak peek at what it would be like. We were definitely not disappointed.

We went out into sand dunes and along rocks, but we also saw camels roaming around freely. We even drove through some mud puddles.

A great part of our trip was when we got to stop at an oasis where we could see camels getting their water from drinking pools and foraging for food in bushes nearby.

Tips for making your experience better

If you’re new to desert safari dubai, there are some things that you should keep in mind. Just remember that your guide knows these deserts better than anyone else and his advice will help make your time more enjoyable.

Here are some tips for making your experience a little bit better: Consider traveling in small groups. You’ll have more flexibility on where to go and what to do, while also helping with gas costs and space available inside of jeeps. Dress comfortably.

Bring water and wear layers of clothes

It’s important to wear layers of clothes and bring water when you’re taking part in a desert safari dubai. You can always take off layers if you get too hot, and dehydration can be dangerous, so make sure to drink lots of water!

Pictures from the top of sand dunes

If you can stomach getting sand in your eyes and mouth, climbing to the top of a sand dune while surrounded by bumpy, hot desert terrain sounds like fun. This year, though, I opted to ride on top of our van (the same one we rode on during dinner) with my husband and two kids.

We went between 10-15 miles per hour but had plenty of time to soak in all that open space. Surprisingly enough, it was much cooler than being in our four-wheel drive SUV; however, it wasn’t too cool for us because we were bundled up with layers.

Another perk—at least from what I remember—was that there was minimal wind when we were riding atop our van so we could enjoy views undisturbed.

Where to book your tour with an accurate price range

One of your first steps in booking a desert safari dubai should be checking to see if you’re interested in using an online booking platform. Sites like Expedia and TripAdvisor are great resources for comparing prices from hundreds of travel companies.

Once you find a few tour companies with good ratings and reviews, you’ll have some solid options to choose from. For more specifics, it’s best to speak directly with an agent; whether that’s over email or on the phone, it’s always better to have someone walk you through all of your specific questions about your itinerary before making a final decision.

Remember: Just because one company offers three-star accommodations doesn’t mean another can’t offer five-star luxuries.
